CARLITA
STAGE 02

BIOGRAPHY

Carlita is one of the most eclectic and exciting dance artists making music today. Born and raised in Turkey, she was immersed in music from a young age -both through her parents’ diverse tastes -as well as her studies at the Royal Academy of Music where she was classically trained in cello. This early passion and natural talent shape the sounds she makes today, which mixes live and electronic instruments, using different synths, sampled instruments, and field recordings from her travels. Carlita draws inspiration from a global mood board of sound, with every set full of infectious surprises.

Her road to the stage began when she studied music management while at college in Boston. She began navigating the industry through internships, editorial work (FADER) and on the agency side (Cornerstone). However, days in the office led to nights out on the Boston club scene where she soon learned the basics of DJing from club owners and producers. Carlita -as she was nicknamed in college-instantly fell in love and knew the booth was where she belonged.

In just a few short years, Carlita’s star has risen and she has played for crowds around the world. Her joyous, energetic, and genre-melding performances are a highlight of festivals and venues including Cicoloco, Burning Man, Tesla’s Giga Factory opening, and, in 2022, a magical set for Cercle at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, an iconic backdrop of cinematic history where over 3,000 films have been made.

Carlita’s high-fashion collaborations with brands such as Attico, Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Paco Rabanne and Rimowa gave way to her multisensory high-fashion concept party, Senza Fena. Each gathering of Senza Fine aims to blur the boundaries of music, personalities, design and experience, with a celebration of the senses using various mediums -from light and sound to scent and architectural design.

'2024 marks a momentous year for Carlita as her highly anticipated debut album will be released this Fall.
